These are production pics of the true US market 2009 Mazda 6 which will still be based on the older CD3 platform that underpins the Ford Fusion.

You may have seen pics of the Euro Mazda6, however it's slightly different in that it is based on the smaller EUCD platform used in the Ford Mondeo.

Nice car - the flaring reminds me of the RX-8 a bit. Mazda has a pretty decent design team, and as a former owner of a 2003 6s - I can say they are very good cars.

Aw man, they messed that car up! I think the older style looked way better. I came close to buying an '07 mazda6 hatchback until I found out it's built here by scummy union workers. That just ruined it for me. I thought it was supposed to be a japanese car.

pretty sweet car, im just waiting for the twin turbo version of the rx7 to come out, they've already come up with a model but still not ready for production.

Either the headlights are spaced too far out or the grill is too small, it looks like a runt child. Also the staggered front fender flares from the rear angle is the one thing I dislike on the rx-8. Car companies seem to be dropping the ball on design lately.

 

The styling of the back of the car is neat..... but the front of the car is HIDEOUS to say the least.....

 

i wonder if its come with AWD turbo as the last model........

 

hate it, dont look good to me at all, I think the older one is a lot sexier
