I normally don't start SUV threads, but when I saw the spy production pics of the upcoming 2009 Honda Pilot it caused a pained look on my face. Does anyone think Honda is going a bit over the top with their recent styling cues?

The MDX front end looks like something out of a Madmax movie, the CRV has that weird mustache underneath its grille and now this crazy huge headlight with funky grille design on the new Pilot.

 

hideous. these designers of almost all the new cars/trucks/suvs need to be stabbed in the eyes with a style pen.

Looks like they're trying to do a knock-off of the equally hideous Jeep Liberty. However, Americans seem to be buying these ugly cars. They have a thing for big ugly grilles.

 

Looks like Chrysler product humped a Range Rover.
