Buying the wife a 08 Outlander tonight...

We are going to pick up a '08 Outlander tonight and I wanted to hear your guys opinions on them. We will be picking up the 3.0L V6 XLS, 6spd. Auto, Navigation, Luxury, SS, Rear Entertainment, and Tow packages. We already test drove it twice and got approved for the promotional rates (48mo.=3.9%, 60mo.=4.9%, 72mo.=5.9%). I have already read the review Evom did on the '07 fyi. Thanks in advance for the input.

Actually my wife and I are leaning towards one also. The room, styling, features and bang for the buck is hard to beat! Also, cosumer reports recommends it and says first year reliability has been great!

Sat in one at a Mitsu dealership while waiting for my car. Very comfy and nice interior.

Test drove one, and loved it! Very snazzy SUV, and I'm tempted to deal for one as well . . .

The only downsides I have seen so far are the lack of climate and 4WD knob illumination at night, no memory on the power seat, and no power passenger seat.

Everything I've read on them points to being a great car for a great deal.

Picked it up last night and everything went smooth. Paid $30,500 with destination included, and we got an additional $500 off for customer loyalty. Towing specs on the model we got is 1,700lbs without a trailer brake, and 3,500lbs with a trailer brake.

If you don't mind, please give us or me some updates on how you like it.
We are really considering one. Only thing that scares me is the backseat with
two car seats. We only have one right now, but number two isn't that far off.
I just hope it will be more roomier then our 03 Accord.

So far the only thing I was suprised by is the fact that when you get the luxury package with the HIDs, it replaces the fog lights with DRLs.

The 2nd row seating has PLENTY of room, I am 6'2" 250lbs, and I have ample leg room behind the drivers seat when in position for me to drive(each side of the 60/40 split 2nd row independently slides forward and backward, and the seatbacks have a wide range of tilt. The 3rd row seating is only for small children and not for baby seats either, but it is nice to have and folds flat in the floor. Ill update more later

one more thing, aparently they fixed the non-illuminating control knobs that I mentioned in my second post for the 08 model year, because ours light up great. btw, this nav system PWNZ!

I drove an 05 outlander as a loaner for a week when my Evo was at the shop for warrenty work. It's a very very comfortable car. It has the room of an SUV yet still feels fairly light like a car. I really like the utlity function of the space.

So my wife just dropped off the Outlander to get the factory rear-entertainment system installed. They told her that it wouldn't function with the stock speakers, and only play through the headphones. At this point I am quite upset. Does anyone have any info on how the rear entertainment system is supposed to connect with the factory 650w Rockford system with Navigation, and why they cant, or dont want to connect it the correct way.
