I went ahead and picked up a car from a member on here, not quite an Evo but I was killing time today and went ahead and registered. 1990 Eclipse GSX. Here's the low down, for the most part the car was clean inside and out. It's got a date with the body shop on the 26th for $2500 worth of rust removal that was JUUUUSSSTTT starting on it. On the test drive, you could tell there was a LOT of leaks on the intake side and the exhaust housing on the turbo was TOAST (found out it was a bad intake manifold gasket and a hole forming in the intercooler). For as clean as it was, I was getting ready to pass it up simply because the people selling it (some internet car lot thing), they were just idiots and I was going to ***** the guy upside the face if he told me one more time "yeah, there's somebody else that was ready to put a down payment down on it over the phone, but I wanted to hold it for you!"
But god, the records kept on the car, the overall shape of it (Minus a few spots that were forgotten in a repaint), the interior is fantastic. So with another brand new 14b, new factory intercooler and new gaskets on the intake manifold... and new front wheel bearings, outter tie rods, lower ball joints, both front axles. The car drives new, sounds fantastic, shifts perfect and is a blast just to drive. Most of the suspension work I didn't need to do, but one of the wheel bearings were going bad and I figured what the hell, while I'm down here, then what the hell, while I'm doing this side...
I know I probably overpaid a bit for this car, but damn it's nice to be back in a clean 1g. Not throwing on anything performance wise, no boost controller, no fuel system, nothing at all period.

It doesn't get any cleaner.. Congrats, it looks very nice. By the way and changing the subject, I have a spare couple of turbo set-ups for your car for sale, one is a Evo III turbo(with less than 1000 miles) and the other is a 20G Buschur turbo. I also have spare headers andintercooler..just PM me.

wow...that's clean! Reminds me of my mom's old car...1990 GSX off the show room, got stolen a month of owning it!
fromWRXtoEVO - Thanks but no thanks, I'm not looking to race this car or make it any faster.
Trying to brush up on my night shots under street lighting and I forgot what a pain in the *** it was! I'm bringing my laptop next time so I can make some adjustments on the fly. On that note, I only got one picture that was decent enough to post. Maybe I can use it for a signature or a banner...
