I think he already did get a chip...

Anyway, very nice jump, almost did the same thing, but the 335xi felt like crap compared to the i, and was a good bit more expensive and because of the weather here I had to have AWD. So I took the cheaper route and got a used 911.

If it weren't for the weather I'd be in a C6 or a 335i for sure though.

But I bet its a blast to drive. A turbo with no lift boost, and fast *** shifting. I bet its a rocket sled.

So you went with the shiv route? I guess its the same as the JB3 power wise, plus a few extra Hundi$$$.

p.s. dont you just love everything about it,, I walked away from the Evo missing nothing, but I had huge fears I would.

LOL,, not really a second thou.

Im sure you have checked out e90post.com, and bimmerfest.com

Wait till you change out the run flats,,, feels like the car wants to jump out of its skin! those fockers are HEAVY.
Actually I did get the jb3...best choice i coulda made! procede was just too steep for me. The runflats are terrible...I might make the swap for regular tires, the ride on the runflats is just terrible. Congrast on your ride too...i was reading about your swap when the idea of a 335i first popped into my head.

Good choice... I told you about the JB3 but I am sure you already knew if was about to be released. In my opinion the Procedes are fine(I had one) but honestly the price is on its own league(too high). As we speak, the JB3 is undeniably the best hp/dollar upgrade. I which I had mine back...

Keep us posted whenever you take it to the track. With the steptronic no matter how bad of a driver you are you will always post excellent times.

psshhh I am going to the dealer to see the new 335D whenever they are available, they are truly torque moster! sequential turbos and an undestructible block

I agree with you - I really wanted AWD for the few occasions where the bad weather hits the east cost, but I just couldn't justify the cost...well added cost. Very nice choice on the 911 though!

with the right parts and tuner you can make that car very fast and reliable as any car if tuned properly. i bet you love driving around and not hearing anything in the cabin but your thoughts. nice choice, i would have went with a later model, old man owned m3 03-05, but these new 335 do look great!!!

Haha yeah my girlfriend actually enjoys being in the car now and not having to listen to the constant drone of an HKS exhaust...the e46 m3's look great as well, i just couldn't buy one off warranty

Different strokes for different folks, though I do miss the power delivery sometimes.

true the 335D,,,,,, whats it at 275hp and 456lb.ft.?

I guess it has a small turbo and a larger one for true no lagg.

I also heard a tuner has pulled some nice numbers out of a tune.

I wonder if this will be able to be turned into a true bio diesel?

three weeks ago, I would have said, "335 is an excellent choice". However, two weeks ago I purchased the EVO X MR...Man! I take back all the bad things I said about Mitsubishi EVO's. Not only is it classy in white, fun to drive...its quick. seats five, four doors...I think maybe you might come back to the evo family.

Very nice trade up indeed I looked at the 335i several months ago and nearly bought one, but I couldn't talk myself into selling my Evo8. I've got a love/hate relationship going on with my car that'll probably last for a couple more years. For those who don't know, the 335i is very fun car to drive. It handles well, it's pretty fast in stock form, and it responds well to mods. I wouldn't spend the extra money on a newer M3 over this car if I were in the market for a fast bimmer but that's just me. I also wouldn't spend the money for the idrive either that thing seemed a little complicated but again....that's just me.
