I'm really like the current S2000, but this artist drawing of the next one looks hideous. I really hope it looks vastly different if Honda is actually serious about this successor.

Reminds me of the Supra concept.
I would be very surprised if this ends up with a 3.5L engine option. Given that Honda was one of the few car manufacturers that did not report a loss this year, I suspect they'll stick with what has worked for them for ages: light cars with small displacement engines. The 3.5L is going to add more weight, use more gas, and cost more.
