Question Tiburon or GTI? Help me decide

Alright, i finally sold my car and now is the time to decide which car i want. I have narrowed it down to 2 cars. And now i gotta weigh up the pros and cons of each. Have a read and let me know which you think i should get

Hyundai Tiburon SE - $14,995 - 2007 - 2,950 miles
5years - $270/month - 6 years - $240/month
+$25 a month for insurance

More Pics and Info

Specs:
2.7L V6 DOHC N/A Engine
FWD
173hp/181tq.
18/26 mpg regular gas
0-60 - 7.7 seconds
6 speed manual transmission
Traction / Stability control / 4 wheel ABS
Independent suspension, "track tuned", McPherson struts
A million airbags
Kenwood 6 speaker stereo system
lbs.Tq./MPG/Volt gauges
A bunch of other standard features: heated mirrors, A/C, electric everything. etc.

Pros:
SEXY!!!!!! Beautiful car. Gorgeous color, definite head turner. Plus the chicks like em
Decent acceleration and top speed
excellent handling
Comfy and well made leather/cloth seats
lots of standard features
sturdy build, and a million safety features
Superb warranty
Almost a brand new car
low price and monthly payments
fun to drive
sick sounding exhaust
well designed and stylish interior
Bad *** sounding stereo
Very reliable, little known issues or problems

Cons:
less than average gas mileage
1st gear is virtually non-existent, and the car requires a lot of shifting
long gear throws
Fairly impractical, back seats are pretty much useless
C-pillar is a killer blind spot
Not a great cruising car
Decent amount of torque steer
Little or no aftermarket support
Little modding potential without dropping a hefty amount of cash into the car
Not as quick as the GTI

Volkswagen GTI - $16,000 - $17,000 - 06/07 - 30K+ miles
2006 - 5 years $323/month - 5.5 years $297/month
2007 - 5 years $343/month - 6 years $293/month
+$12 a month for insurance

2006 GTI
2007 GTI

Specs:
2.0L DOHC 4Cyl Turbocharged w/direct port injection
FWD
200hp/207tq
6 speed manual or 6 speed DSG
26/32 mpg premium gas
0-60 - 7 seconds
Advanced Traction/Stability control and ABS
A million airbags
too many standard features to list
10 speaker stereo

Pros:
Lots of power, tonnes of torque, feels a lot faster than it actually is
Very little turbo lag
Torque available at 1,800rpm
Excellent handling
little or no torque steer
Great gas mileage for a sports car
Turbocharged
Looks pretty cool
refined interior
comfy seats
Lots of leg room for a 2 door hatch, and is practical
Good safety features
quality build (for the 2007 models)
DSG Transmission is great, and the regular 6 speed is decent too
Tonnes of aftermarket support
Low cost mods give great gains

Cons:
2006 models aren't built very well
Uses premium gas
More expensive, plus higher monthly payments
Higher mileage
Older car
Less financing options
Not as "sexy" as the Tiburon
Isn't available in "nut in your pants Blue"
Doesn't feel as "sporty" for what it is
Questionable long term reliability
Higher maintenance costs
Average sounding engine
Stereo sounds pretty crap at high volume
Less warranty
More known "issues" and problems than the Tibby

I am going to be buying this car for my daily driver. I drive 60 miles a day, pretty much all highway to work and back. I don't have to many friends, and 99% of the time, it's just me driving the car.
I want something quick, reliable, decent on gas, and fun to drive.
I have to take into consideration monthly payments, fuel cost and insurance

Why is the 2006 GTI not built well?

The tiburon looks really nice but the VW is in a different league. The engine in the VW is fantastic and you must consider also getting the DSG because is very advance and comfortable to drive.

I suggest getting the VW GTI,it has better gas mileage, better quality, better resale, better interior space, much better aftermarket support(everywhere).

HE wants it as a family car, I do not think he wants the vehicle to be 5456435 hp.

Then I'd say go for the minivan, or the GTI.

Mazdaspeed3 would be a better family car, then these two coupes, at about the same price with 25K miles on the clock.

The 2 i test drove fell to pieces. One of them was a massive pile, the other was a smaller pile.

The 07 & 08's i drove where a million times better in the build quality. This is probably to do with the fact the 06's where built in Mexico, and the 07+ in Germany

Uhm..... The price for the tib says 17,995 not 14,995..... They are cutting you one hell of a deal to knock off 3 grand. I've got one with a 1300 miles on it that is a darker blue and its a GT(automatic) that I'm going to get at least 17,000 out of. But I would def go with the Volks just bc it has more potential....... I do prefer the looks of the Tib. With a lowering kit and wheels it's prolly my favorite car. I've owned two..... They just don't have any potential to go fast.
