GTR markup.... an entire EVO worth!
The customer has a lot of rights and I wouldn't be surprised if someone with some knowledge of law is forcing the dealers to bring the prices down or face business or court complaints. There must be a limit in which you can sell a car, I am not really sure/convinced if Nissan corporation from Japan actually likes the marketing strategy abroad.
All that I am saying is that this car should be sold for a reasonable real market price. I can say one thing though, I predict a mediocre aftermarket on this car, the parts will directly reflect the mark up as well, exhaust for thousands of dollars, headers for thousand of dollars, expensive tunes etc.

and every dealer has mark up on every car..
Supply and demand people supply and demand. I'm sure there would be someone out there that would pay that for sure.
For example at this moment US dealers could export them to the UK and people WILL pay 60,000 GBP (roughly $120,000) for US GTR. Look here http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/list.asp?s=783
So why sell them for retail here in the US? In my opinion I think that the GTR is worth $100,000+ and nissan are giving them away at RRP. Tell me what car can you buy at $100,000 that better than a GTR in respect for what it actually is... I'd consider a Porsche but what else?

You would be a damn fool to buy that car at that price, but hey they always have idiots out there with money to burn so let em feel the burn. Too many dumb rich people.
I see your in california so i'll give you a pass for your stupidity, i know its normal mind set for the west coast.
the 2010's MSRP is around 84k without markup. around here the 2009's sold for MSRP at around 73k or so.
in the next few years i may convince myself to pull the trigger on one. i'll be sure to put a lot down though. no way i'd want a 2000 car note lol
