How much do you think this car is worth?

I will give you no information beyond pictures. You must use them to make an educated guess on what this car is worth. There is one piece of the puzzle that is missing and I will expose it towards the end of... Use nothing but what info you have here. It will be clear if you cheated or not by the figure you give. Have at it!

To be very honest that car to my standard worth absolutely nothing. To me it is a piece of scrap metal that shows nothing but absolutely negligence from previous owners.

The car was nothing special to beging with, just a "sport"car from that age but nothing else. That car deserves to be in a POS yank yard and you can blame to every single owner that own that car for not ever taking care of that car. Often the car is a pure reflection of its owners, in this case it shows the previous owners were careless and gave a $hit about even putting a car cover, prefroming preventing corrosion control, etc.. look at that interior, Cmon man!!

With that said, I highly suggest you don't put a dime on that scrap metal, help the world bring down the huge hype that invade the car auction business. I have given cars for free to the junk yard, cars that had a engine blown but had excellent interior. If I ever own such scrap metal car I would take no time to call the junk yard.

Recently a family member (aunt) offered me a Ford Galaxy from the 60's. The car was very well taken care when my uncle purchased in the early 90s, he then stop driving it and did not even bother to put a car cover or a shade or to even park it on the garage. The car was totally rusted with bird $hit, cracked leather interior, cracked interior plastics, fade paint and all kind of animals living on the engine bay. My uncle's negligence epitomize what happen to the car you are inquiring. My aunt offered me the car(POS) for free but I completely declined to accept.

Get the new Camaro or the new challenger, they look astonishing and worthy every penny. Please don't take it personal, I like hose cars when done well, but I hate when people abandon them and try to make them look worthy when they already hit bottom.

That was the most ignorant chunk of bull**** I have ever heard.

It's actually an authentic 1969 COPO Camaro 427ci/425hp L72

and it sold for $46,269.69

C.O.P.O. stands for "Central Office Production Order", and in 1969 that was the only way to get a Camaro with a 427 cubic-inch Vette motor under the hood. Chevrolet did not advertise this option and not all dealerships even new they could order 427 Camaros, but if you knew the right dealer you could get your hands on one of those tire-scorching torque machines. Unfortunately, lack of advertising and a limited number of orders meant that few COPO's survive today, and even fewer survive in showroom condition. To get your hands on an original will cost you big bucks, provided you can someone willing to part with it. There where only about a thousand ever made and the only to survive today are less than a couple hundred of them.

I was talking about the metal frame(rolling chasi). If someone wants to pay that much for a car that was like $2000 or $3000 back then go ahead. There are a lot of people with money that are willing to pay whatever.

Why don't you disclose the amount of money, time and effort to get to $46,269.69?, I am sure he spent as much making that car worthy as what he got for it.

It would take about $30,000 to bring that car back to life correctly. I don't think you understand that rolling chassis or not you can replace motors, axles, hoods, brakes and seats but you can not ever substitute what the car was born as. You simply can NOT replace the body/frame of a COPO born car. THAT is why the "scrap metal" is so important. And if you can say it was not worth the $7,200.00 it cost new then you are saying the same thing for the 275 GTB Four Cam that fetches around the same amount in tip top condition.

Your estimate is fair enough money wise. We are talking about a long time spent on a body shop, another few days/weeks on a upholstey shop, another few days/weeks on a mechanic shop, tire shop, glass shop, etc, by the time you are done, the bill, the hassle and all that brings down the profit. This is not for the average person, not everyone has the time to do such huge project not the money that goes with it and that is why at the end of the day, the people that buy this type of cars and get into this kind of projects are absolutely minimal.

Anyway, I told you to not take it personal, that was just my opinion. Good post anyway.
