Evo Sold, Bought Nismo 350z, pics
So I traded in the Evo and bought a 2007 Nissan 350z Nismo Edition. 306hp on the newer, stricter SAE standards. 268ftlbs. 90%of the torque is available from 2k-7k. 7500rpmm redline. Car pulls great. I really like the lack of boost because the powerband is so smooth and perfect for auto-x. Dialing in throttle input is very easy and I can hang the tail out as far as I want or tighten it up. Has great brakes and handles very good for a stock car.
I wanted something different than AWD as R comps and AWD really cover up driver flaw. High HP RWD is much different and has already exposed some of my weaknesses. I'm hoping I can learn quickly with her and take her to nationals in 09 and be a contender in Bstock.
She'll be running around a bit before I put her in for the winter.

I didn't like or wasn't impressed about the Z until I rented a convertible in scottsdale and it was also red! It is a nice little vehicle. congrats! But I will still keep my IXMR.

Its a step down in the go fast performance from the way my car was set up. But this car will expose a lot of my weaknesses and hopefully make me a better driver. Plus running in B stock will cost me a lot less than continuing to prep my car for SM. I was able to win at the local level, but nationals.....I'd get my *** beat.
To me, it will be cheaper to make competitive, and its more comfortable which equates to me as a better car. So I can't pull over and rail my girlfriend in the backseat. Such is the life of a two seater
