Eclipse GTS
Ok people I hear all this talk about an Eclipse GTS what is it and where the hell do I look at it? Also why is Mitsu making a performance Eclipse when they're going to be selling the Evolution VII 
The Eclipse GTS was formerly known as the 00-02 Eclipse GT with Premium Package. I believe the HP was increased by 5-10 hp at most (likely some intake and exhuast tricks).
As a former owner of said Eclipse GT with premium package, I would not call it a "performance" model. It was an awesome cruiser, with a very nice interior for the price, but it lacked any real power or handling ability.

So its still the V6 engine. I kept hearing GTS thinking GST. Although I still don't see a reason for making the car. I think they should've kept the Mirage, let the Lancer replace the Eclipse and ran the Evolution as their high end car.

You are correct. The new GTS is simply a GT premium package with new tail lights and the induction system from the last model 3000GT. It's about 10 horse higher on the dyno than the GT, which is still offered. You can see them everywhere here in Illinois, but they ARE built here (Normal, Illinois).

I had heard a rumor long before the Evo was speculated to come to the USA, the Eclipse would get a supercharger and named GTS. But the damn bastards at MMSA decided to dump the supercharger and just jack up the HP by prolly making a few pipes bigger. Bastards, If I were you, I'd go get a 2G DSM Turbo.
