Mirage Engine Swap

Hey I gotta '97 mirage and i wanna put a 2001 eclipse spyder v6 3.0L engine in it, and if i get a complete front clip, i was wondering if i need any other parts to complete the swap. Any replies would be helpful. My uncle is a master mechanic and he knows all the tricks of the trade, but i just wanna have everything to go before i ship the car to him to get done, so the installation process is no problem, thanxs.

Would the engine even fit? Remember that that Eclipse/Galant chassis is immensely bigger than the C series Mirage/Lancer chassis. Have you confirmed fitment? I'm pretty sure bahamut (resident 'rage specialist) could probably back up what I'm saying. That 3L V6 is much larger than any type of engine mounted in any Mirage, I mean, even the FTO was a 2L motor and even that is an EXTREMELY tight squeeze inside a Mirage chassis (look for the pics using 6A12 as your search parameter). Heck, even the weight distribution would probably be severely skewed, probably even worse than those fellas who drop H22's inside EK hatches.

Your best source for info would be Mirageforum.com, if it's not currently down.

Cheers.
