whats wrong with owning a hyundai. this isnt the 90s, hyundai has come a long way. at least they're not begging for cash to save their own asses.

mobis is a subsidiary of hyundai that makes parts, for the guy who was asking

that exhaust clip sounded sick. im definitely thinking of getting one as a DD IF the aftermarket trend looks promising for the car. RWD is definitely enticing.

there is nothing wrong with owning a hyundai, what i am referring to is evo's comments about them taking 850lbs out of the car. And if you do that same, you should have spent your money else where IMO. And Mitsubishi isn't asking for money, so what are you talking about ?

contrary to popular belief, the hyundai genesis coupe does not have the 4B11 evo X motor in it. It has the hyundai theta engine. both engines were based off of the joint "world engine" project between chrysler, hyundai, and mitsubishi and do share some of the same parts but they are not the same engine.

This is from wikipedia...

"Although the basic designs of the various engines are the same, their exact specifications are individually tailored for each partner. The cylinder block and other basic structural parts of the engine were jointly developed by the GEMA companies, but the intake and exhaust manifolds, the cylinder head’s intake and exhaust ports, and other elements related to engine tuning were independently developed by Mitsubishi."

One major difference is that the 4B11 evo X motor has Mivec (Variable Valve Timing) on both the intake and exhaust side. the hyundai theta engine only has variable valve timing on the intake side.

first "real" sport coupe hundai has come up w/. the genesis is going to come out with a coup and a sedan. the coup has around 230-50hp and the genesis sedan has a v6 pushin around 330hp. but the coupe is easier to modify, it is turbocharged, rwd.

That audio clip is the V-6, not the turbo 4 cyl. It does sound sweet.

And all of those are FWD.

Congrats.

It's an awesome car for what it is, a Hyundai. Those who hate prematurely before they've even driven one themselves are just being label ******. Hyundai seems to have their **** together now, and this is just the start of what I hope will become a thriving market in NEW RWD turbo imports.

^ Agreed, I think it has potential and that car looks good. Carbon intercooler plumbing does not suck either.

When did Hyundai ever has there **** together?

We'll see if that thing stays together after a couple of years of spirited driving, let alone track days.

I think this car would get some attention! Hyundai is coming really good these days, compared to GM-SRT4, GM Cobalt which are going out of business! Atleast hyundai are not idiots on how they handle their money and would able to keep coming up with this new aggressive line up vehicles they had made.

GM don't even have any ****, as they said if you test drive any one of the GM cars, you freaking already test drive almost every single car they have.... its because they are too lazy and just use the same old knobs, body, suspension to every single car they have... haha I read that from someone who comments about GM. :P
