i could be wrong. but if the price difference is going to be as much as i'm expecting, i dont' think these will sell very well.

Considering the standard GTR is responding well to mods already.......i don't see the point of spending the extra $$$.

But we'll see. i've been wrong before.

its not really tuned much at all over the standard model only 5 more horsepower and a few foot pounds of torque. Doesn't sound like enough to justify any price difference.

Read somewhere that the Spec V only comes in the Ultimate Black Opal but also there is no word if it's coming to the US or not(I'd guess yes). As for the regular car getting that color, I don't know.

Its decs, but I like the older ladies, the R33 and 34. Plus I heard its a pain in the *** on maintenance! Nobody likes a high maintenance lady

Drools* that car is amazing. I agree though they took an amazing car with a decent price tag(in japan) and turned it into a lower priced supercar. Both good and bad. Oh and i almost fainted when i saw the maintenance estimates. I'm sure that does rival full blown supercars.

As far as I know, we're not getting the spec V. Have you seen the back seat delete? What a joke... it looks like moving blankets.

Glad I didn't wait for it...

that thing is fugly. If my budget was $80K max, I would get regular GTR. If I could afford a car above $100K , no way in hell would I pick up GTR, not even a Vspec. GT3, Black Series would be my choice

not sure if this is nationwide, but went to a local Nissan Dealer that had a GTR sitting on the show floor. Car is beautiful in person, ( the Vspec pics are fugly to for some reason ) . Anyways MSRP was $80K with destination fee included, probably '09 GTR , and get this in the windshield there was a sign stating that you can LEASE this GTR ....Couldn't believe my eyes . Since no salesmen were present at the show floor , probably looking at me through the 2-way mirror, I don't know specifics about the lease, nor do I know if they would let it go for MSRP. But either way, looks like they ain't selling that well ...

Car was stunning in person tho .. Much better looking than the Vspec

I guess you could make a regular GTR weight the same as a Spec V with swapping some components, mainly exhaust, smaller battery, removing floor mats and lowering the fuids of your windshield wipers(My guess).

You got it Carlos.

That's why mine is at AMS!

More power less weight!

I wouldn't spend the money on a Spec V after reading about it and the minimalistic upgrades that will cost $60k over a regular R35. Right now this car is a big disappointment to most in the GT-R community. Maybe things will change in the future but for all the hype that lead up to it's release.....the first impression to most of us is this car fails!

BTW hows the Z06 doing?

The GT-R has been available for lease through Nissan since day one.

Those wheels are horrible.. and I guess they didn't touch the ticking timebomb tranny either.. My money would go to a GT3 no questions asked.
