I don't know if you guys read Autoblog a lot, so if you do, you've probably seen this. But I think this is awesome. At the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, the Lincoln Concept C has internally mounted calipers, with the rotors mounted directly to the wheels. I think it's pretty sweet... Check it out.

 

I consider that to be a major downside, especially in race applications. Neat idea however to allow more braking force from a smaller caliper.
