Doesn't sound like much weight savings for how much money he probably spent on it.

yeha ur telling me and he has a stock motor in it. Spending that much money i would have at least put in a HONDA K20 in there too. that would it have made it faster too! LOL

When a car already weighs as little as a lotus, you get to the point of diminishing returns. 88lbs to your 3200lb evo isn't much, but take 88lbs off a 2000lb lotus and you'll feel it.

But for the same money, effort and purpose, aren't you better off buying an atom? Even the most basic version (I believe the newest base has 245hp) would be 3/4 of the weight (or about 500lbs lighter), about 30% more powerful, and cheaper if you include all the CF parts on the elise.

HAHAHAHA a 66lbs weight savings on a full CF body. thats awesome considering just the evo doors in CF save twice that amount and probably cause 5 times less.

Its all show and no go

The atom comes with a built K20A as stock too (rated at 245hp), and you have an option to add a blower. So I am thinking if the guy actually wanted to make the car light and fast or it was only for looks.

I'm honestly surprised it doesn't weigh more, most of the damn car is fiberglass( at least the entire bonnet is) and the rest is aluminum( think door skins are steel though)....cool application, props for intensity and uniqueness....id drive it!

I think someone brought one, because one was featured in a local magazine I think, but I haven't seen it on a road, maybe it was moved to zhuhai garage permanently, or wrecked, or sold back to another country
