Performance from an unlikely source...

Check out the specs of the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO. Not a fan myself, never have been. But this NEW SHO set to hit the showrooms in July of this year is no joke. 365 hp/ 350 lbs of torque with AWD. I wonder what kinda times this thing is gonna push. Soccer dads are gonna be stoked!

There is no plan for stick. Unless there is some abnormal demand, it would stay auto. A big challenge to SRT8's perhaps but totally different market from evo and sti.

I remember the SHO's of old because my buddy had one shortly after high school. I think it was rated at 225 hp or something but he had a few small basic mods done to it that gave it a little bump in power. That thing was crazy fast back then, we would visit the local cruise/ street race scene and he would blow away some of the the bigger V-8 cars. That crap was pretty funny thinking back to it This should make for a pretty decent family car for the guy that still wants to have a little speed under his belt but needs a softer ride for the wife and kids.

You would've thought if they were going to blow up those pics to the resolutions they did that they would've taken care to have it not missing the radiator cover under the hood and cleaned it up a bit?

And only 365 out of a twin turbo'd v6 3.5 L? they must be pea sized turbo's.

haha just goes to show...

It has that Acura vibe to it....it doesn't look bad. I'd probably pick one as a DD if it was reliable.....lets see in the future shall we? Then again I'd get the genesis sedan...

I had a 1989 SHO as my first car, fun stuff, except the FWD. The new ones look good, I hope they do well too. Twin turbo V6 area always good for modding!

Car is actually going to be pretty nice. Friends dad is GM of the Ford Dealership down here. We're waiting for more info and the chance to drive one. Only problem is that their talking round 4,000lbs.

huh? BMW's twin turbo inline 6 is rated for 300hp....
i.e. the Ford has a better hp/displacement ratio than the BMW

This looks like it's going to be an awesome car. Too bad it's not a V8.
Even with the added weight, I wonder if it's going to be quicker than a mustang gt? (well you know Ford wont let that happen)...
