Wanting a Project car, 1969 camaro SS
hey ya'll, I'm the kinda guy that ALWAYS has to have a project going on. Since I'm pretty much finished with the evo I'm wanting to move to totally a different kinda car.
A 1969 Camaro SS. I'm looking for one in pretty bad shape, since it would be cheaper that way. I've been on several message boards trying to learn all I can about them and what are the best things to look for in the body. As in whats the hardest places to fix rust, etc.
I'm looking for a project that will take years to complete, just wondering if ya'll would have any insite on this on where to look for a body? it doesnt even have to have the engine/transmission in it since obviously it would be cheaper that way also.
Pretty much I'm looking for a car that will have to be built from the ground up.
just thought I'd share I guess lol, if ya'll have any insite please post!!!

I hate to say it, but even one in bad shape is going to cost you quite a bit. A 69 Camaro SS is a very, very sought after car. Try Hemmings Motor News (www.hemmings.com)
On a car like that, all the rust issues are likely going to be in the floor pan and trunk. Expect to do a frame-off restoration in order to be able to get at all of it and be able to prevent future rust.

The floorpans tend to sneak up on some people.
