Turbo under the Trunk!

We all know Subaru Tmic's have extremely large amounts of heatsoak and if you run front mounts you loose the ability of the bumper beam since it gets completely removed from the car. After searching around, I found this site that mounts the turbocharger underneath the TRUNK! And OMFG it sounds ****ing dope! Of course if this kit was made for a subaru you would actually loose the up-pipe since the headers would basically be a N/A header on a turbo car. So ****ing looking into this!!!!!

Just as I thought... Squire Turbo Systems! I've seen one on a Corvette (actually 2, twin turbo that is), and yes it does sound bad@$$!

it works, it sounds badass, but I think its hopelessly impractical. I would squirm every time going over a speed bump or a bump of any sort on the road in fear of having the turbo smack it.

I saw a STS system on a GTO ~3-4 years ago at a track day. Melted the rear bumper and exhaust hanger. Still had some sorting out to do....

It does alright, but not the ideal setup in my opinion. Its main advantage is ease of install. You compromise performance though.

I don't want oil lines having to snake all the way to the back of the car.

Seen it on vettes. Worked ok, but they are big motors that push a lot of air and have good low end to begin with. Gonna be serious lag with a small motor

^^ what he said. It works great on higher displacement engines because you have the flow to keep them moving. I have seen this turbosystems a long ago.

Looks and sounds cool but doesn't seem like it would be a very practical setup for most uses. Especially daily driving
