My friend wants to buy a car when we get back from Iraq. His only requirements are:
"has to be fast, ~3-4sec 0-60"
"has to look good"
"I want an American car"
"I want to pay no more than $30k"
He's not much of a car guy as you can tell.

What are your suggestions?

PS: I already tried taking him into getting an Evo but he's not falling for it.

 

Get a C6 Z06. Other than that the only other thing I'd look at for that price range is like an early 2000's Cobra which you can get for 15k and mod.

 

uhh You're not getting a C6 Z06 for under 30 grand.. +1 on a Terminator though.

 

saw a 2007 C6 (non z06), with 20k miles, for $25,000 at a dealers' auction. draw your own conclusions

'03-'04 Z06 is all I can think of unless he'll do a slower 0-60 stock and mod it to do what he wants. Then there's a lot of options. But off the shelf 3-4 sec 0-60 is asking for supercar performance on a pauper's budget.
