Spec E30? I found one but not sure on a fair price
Hi all, as the title states I found a Spec E30 that I am looking to purchase but I have only a rough idea what they go for. I am supposed to meet up with the owner pretty soon and try to work out a deal. I don't want to get ****ed on the deal lol
I have seen the car in action in the past so I know it is in decent running order, and I know the owner a bit and he is a stand up kinda guy from what I have seen, but I would at least like to have some knowledge on what it should go for.
Anyone into Spec E30 and know what they go for, or know of a site where I can do some research on prices?
Or know of a good classified site for race prepped cars?
Thanks

It is a gutted and built race car, full cage, fire system, spec suspension, etc. Think spec Miata legal car, but not one that would be competitive.
I am thinking 8-12k range, but not sure where in that range.
And mxcnkimchi, thanks for bringing a little OT into my thread
faq says 7-15k for a turn key depending on condition, but I am looking for some rela world experience

Q. What makes a SpecE30 race car?
A. The rules for SpecE30 are very simple and straightforward. Basically the engines and drivetrains remain stock. Suspensions are upgraded for racing conditions using spec parts; race springs, shocks, camber plates and aftermarket sway bars. All SpecE30 race cars use the new Toyo R888 DOT competition tire. SpecE30 race cars are required to meet a minimum weight and all are required to have NASA approved safety upgrades such as roll cages, window nets, race seats and harnesses. See NASA Club Codes and Regulations for minimum safety requirements. The intent of SpecE30 is to provide a highly competitive, affordable, fun, and safe racing series that showcases driver's skills as well as the spec component manufacturers, distributors and dealers.

Looks like the same kind of mods that are required for spec Miatas. I would think, though, with all the safety work, it'd be on the higher end ($12-$15k, depending on how nicely the car is done, even more if it has fancy electronics)
