I am looking at purchasing a 2003 Eclipse GS for my son. The car is an automatic transmission, and the car has 100K miles on it. It does not look like either the automatic transmission has ever been serviced (flush and fill) or the timing belt/waterpump changed. I know on my Evo VIII, the timing belt is supposed to get done at 60K, and drivetrain fluids at 30K.

If these haven’t been done, should I pass on this car? The guy wants $5K. Anyone know what timing belt change and tranny flush and fill costs?
