A turbo-charged V6 mustang?

http://money.cnn.com/2009/07/28/auto...ef=werecommend

Apparently Ford has a V6 turbocharged mustang that produces more hp and supposedly has better gas mileage than the v8 (V6: 365hp/350tq vs V8: 315hp/325tq, no numbers for the mpg)

Too bad Mustang owners still want the V8, even though they setup the new v6 to sound like a v8.

Wonder how the turbo v6 drives

The Aussie Fords have a V6TT they adore. It would be nice to see the V6TT motor used in more cars.

That'll never happen hear in the U.S.A. There would be an extremely small niche market for them and wouldn't be worth it to bring over. Suppose they brought it over and all of the top Performance Mustang Shops supported the new setup and it brought big hp/tq numbers. They would kill their V8 sales and risk losing it's muscle car image!!!! OK maybe I'm taking this too far but you get the point....haha

There's already a discussion about this. It's the same engine that they've put in the new SHO. There's been tons and tons of rumors about the engine being put into the Mustang within the next 1-2 years, but Ford has denied it.
