The 370z Supremacy
The 370z Supremacy
So I went to check out the new 370z. Low and behold they had a silver base six speed on the lot. Yeah- it looked good but the sales woman there looked even better
. Anyways after the obligatory small chatter about why I wanted to drive the car I took it out. The interior wraps around you and the controls felt good. The steering was tight and the transmission was smooth. The big V-6 rockets that little car pretty well. When merging into traffic though, you're gonna need a guide dog because you're basically blind.
Overall I was impressed with the 370z but not as impressed as i am with my Evo. All doubts over the soda can size fuel tank of the evo have been washed away. I even parked the z next to my evo and compared. I know its subjective but holy crap- The Z may look like a sexy langerie model but the Evo looks like a weapon with one purpose....for eating up curves and destroying the competition.

It's true--the Evo lacks the curves of these sexy cars nowadays, but it has a menacing mean look to it.

I was at a local IHOP about a month ago for some brunch. When walking towards the building I heard a car make a lot of noise. I turned around to see some douchebag in a 370z rocketing down a little side street next to IHOP. Trust me when I say it was completely unnecessary to go WOT on such a short road.
After his WOT of about 3 seconds before having to get hard on the breaks to pull into the parking lot for IHOP (apparently douchebags eat there too) he walked in like nobody saw his jerk-off antics.
Well the reason I'm explaining all of this is because about a week later a buddy of mine saw this same guy at the local 1/4 mile track. Let's just say he was running low 14's all night no matter how hard he pushed his car.
I prefer a CT9A Evo, but I would most certainly take an Evo X over a 370 any day of the week.

It's going to take a bit for the 370 to beat down the Evo... not that it isn't a great car, the Evo just has a whole lot more potential IMO.
I think the 35 and 37 ouncers have potential but you just have to drop a fuggin' mint on them. There are some fast ones out there but my wife/kids would have something to say about the seating arrangements. No thanks!
My GF has the 370z. Light years better than the 350z. Its faster than the Evo, but mods are half the cost for the evo. I love driving them both.
The 7 speed paddle shifter shifts quite well, and is one of the best Automatics I have driven. The handling is insanely good as well. I sing high praises for that car, and would own one, but I have to take more than 2 people in my car.
Fortunately I can drive one whenever I want..
