"Sport Auto" Tests 0-300-0 Kph Times

Im holding the German magazine "sport Auto" in my hands... they tested following stock cars from 0-300-0 kph
(accelerating from 0 to 187.5mph then braking to a complete stop):

·Aston Martin V12 Vantage
·Cadillac CTS-V
·Gumpert Apollo
·Koenigsegg CCX-R
·Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670 SV
·Porsche 911 GT3
·Porsche 911 Turbo (newest version with 500HP)
·Ruf Rt 12 S
·Wiesmann GT MF5

The first three places::
-Koenigsegg CCX-R = 31.6sec.
-Gumpert Apollo = 33.3sec.
-Ruf Rt 12S = 34.4sec.

a dissapointing last place for Cadillac CTS-V with 77 seconds.

Make sure to take a notice of those results, before you buy your next hypercar.

yep, pretty disappointing for a car nearly twice the size/weight of the others, and in some cases at 1/16th of the price, to come in last in testing...

NOOOOOOOOOT

why in the world is the CTS-V and the Aston Martin in this testing.....

thats like comparing a miata mazdaspeed to the new chevy zr1 and then saying the miata came in last place :-/

i must admit a very dumb test to have included both of those cars but oh well.

nice job by the RUF though,. that car is hot as heII

They tested more supercars last year;the Z06 did in 51,8 seconds.
The Problem of the CTS-V & Z06 is the 6th gear, its to long...

What i also heard is Pagani and Bugatti refused to participate.

Zonda would own them all, it stops from 200km/h to 0 in like 4 secs

7.2 sec 300km/h to 0 doesn't sound too unreasonable then, won't make the zonda any more or less exceptional.

Zonda R Clubsport would be a bit better than the CCX-R, along with MC12 Corsa, of course FXX Evo would own them all, along with the 720bhp Ultima GTR. I think Caparo T1 may top the FXX Evo, but definately not Superlight R500 nor Atom 500 due to their not-so-highspeed-friendly aerodynamics which I doubt if they can even reach 186mph (300km/h).

But of course this is straight line racing, Top Fuel dragster with double schutes would be untouchable in this race.

I can't say I see the point at all... aside from getting on a track, when will you ever go 187 mph? I realize they are trying to show what the cars can do, but in the real world, this doesn't matter in the least, they already build cars to show what they can do... they are called RACE CARS.

I think I'd much rather see a 0-100-0 mpg test for street cars. And these are street cars.

The Z06 does 300KM/H in 5th gear, in fact it does 280KM/H in 4th. The 6th gear is not needed to achieve 300km/h.

You are correct on this statment: the 6th gear is too tall.

You mean 0-100mph-0? I don't know of any car right now that does 100mpg.
