If I had the extra cash I would get this
http://omaha.craigslist.org/cto/1375040373.html
I spent 2 1/2 years and about $8,000 building this thing. It has an Arizona title and VIN number, and was totally street legal in Arizona.
It's a mid-engined, rear wheel drive, JDM Honda B16a powered, 83" wheelbase, 1400lb. tube chassis. Adjustable, heim-jointed front suspension w/ inboard, pushrod/rocker actuated Koni coilovers. 4 piston RX-7 turbo II front brakes/spindles/crossmember/rack and pinion in front, Integra front brakes and front suspension in the rear w/ H&R adjustable coilovers. Accel high flow in-line fuel pump, Canton 1 Micron high flow filter w/ extra fuel filter elements, Aeroquip braided stainless fuel and brake lines w/ Aeroquip fittings, rollover valve, AEM fuel rail and AEM adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Integra adjustable steering column/ignition switch/turn signal and headlight stalk, wired for high and low beams, has brake lights and turn signals w/ hazard flasher function, charge indicator light, check engine light, license plate bracket w/light, Honda Prelude seats, Crow harness, MR2 shifter w/ heim-jointed linkage. Integra fuel gauge. Wired for AIM digital gauge cluster but I think I'm going to keep that and the SPA carbon fiber formula car mirrors.
You really have to see this thing to believe it. So many possibilities for upgrades and customization. Easy to work on. I used almost all off the shelf parts. Perfect for Autocross or just hauling *** faster than just about anything else on the road.
