Alright, this might be old news...

I'm sitting here watching Jay Leno on NBC, and on pops a commercial. Big whoop right? Anyway, there's a silver, debadged Lancer ES (I don't think the LS has black door handles) just driving along.

Then the announcer comes on and says "What would possess a man...to drive a car like this..."

At this point I'm already like WTF! and then a black 2004 Pontiac GP shows up, and the announcers all like "...when you can drive a car like this!"

Maybe it's because we like our cars to run for more than 16,000 miles. Maybe it's because we can't afford a $27K car. Maybe it's just because we all know where are ball sacks are kept and we don't need some ****ty car to remind us, or worse, to compinsate for the lack thereof.

Anybody else pissed off here? Please feel free to vent, his could be a fun thread.

Im happy for that commercial. Let the masses think what they want. Just remember most americans dont want what we want. Thats why almost half a million Ford Tauras's are sold every year. Thats why GM continues to build crap. Did you know 52% of americans based their vehicle purchase off of cupholder size and amount? Sad. Like I said, let them have their "victory," at least Lancers wont be as common as belly buttons then......

 

who buy's pontiacs anyways? oh that's right, ignorant americans!
