I don't know about that. A S15 has way better curves and sleekness than any past Evos. A 180sx, S13, and S14 are a toss up to their owners. Their only downfall is the exotic cermanic turbo. It spins fast, but it also can break itself apart.

Besides, if one has an Evo, why get a silvia?

Now, everyone seems to be in a drifting craze. People are snagging up a bunch of dead 240's and converting them. For the past 6 month, SR20 motors have been steadily increasing its price.

As for skyline, I'm not too big on them.

High hp sr20det's are really rare though, I know there's a few out there like that.

I'm sure they did a lot of block strengthening too

i think it is great they are making these available stateside, as much money as people spend trying to turn their 240s into silvias they could probably have bought one and now they can!

i won't even comment on the ka24/ sr20 arguement here, but there is no way that ka24 > sr20

be different, swap a ca18det

CA18DETs are almost 15 years old. I wouldn't trust a 15 year old engine shipped over the Pacific that much.

People still use the B16A motor in swaps. Would I trust it? Nope. But H&A guys do.

Actually they are as fast stock, and MUCH faster when lightly modded. They weigh a TON less, and don't have as much of a drivetrain loss. From a stop it's close and they'll leave EVO's standing still around 3rd, and from a roll it's over for an EVO before it even starts.

My lil' brother has a '93 240SX that he swapped an SR20DET (the silvia motor) into, and with minor boltons he's a flat 13.

EDIT>>> Oh, and the SR block is capable of low 500ish hp with a stock bottom end.
