FTO Dump Valve?

I’m completely clueless about the mechanics of cars or what the parts do, so apologies if this is a stupid question.

I have a manual Mitsubishi FTO GPx and wanted to make it hiss when I change gears. I’m told I need a dump valve but I can’t find one for the FTO. I’m assuming this is something to do with most FTOs being tiptronic transmission, but since I don’t even know what the dump valve connects to I’m only guessing.

Is it possible to get a dump valve for an FTO and if so where from?

Thanks a lot for your help.

I am assuming that your FTO is turbo charged...dont know much about the fto and different models etc....So someone correct me if im wrong here.

Sounds like someone told you about a dump tube..... which would involve dumping your wastegate gas to the atmosphere...probably dont want to do that...

or they could hve been explaining the below to you:

Other wise you can get an open air element and you should hear the blow off valve more prominently. If your bov recireculates into your air intake... which it should.

If you really want it loud then replace your BOV with an HKS or other valve.

I hope this helps.

If the car is stock, no FTO ever came turbocharged, best motor they had was the 2L MIVEC V6. To get that hiss, it's more often associated with VTA BOV, which you won't have.
