You have to give a big to Ford for this car. American car companys are really making a come back in the performance car market. Hell there are actually several American cars I would love to own, something I could not say several years ago.

 

It's a great car and will give the Euro's a run for the money.

 

The Ford GT40 is one of the best cars ever made. I would die to won one. I saw the new version at the NTC auto show last year. That's where everyone was standing around. I couldn't get any pics of it. I am sure most people don't even know the story behind it.

 

Ford did a wonderful job wrapping 1960s GT40 looks around 21st C. technology. And rumor has it that the GT is the first step, and we can expect to see more supercars from Ford on the racetrack soon.

 

That car is so bad ***... A friend of mine owns a GT40 kit car.. Looks exactly like that.. Although he has a twin turbocharged mustang 302 powering it... Almost 500 hp on the 2200lb frame... The interior isn't the best, but the outside looks identical... He's also got 2 other Shelby Cobra kit cars too.. He does them really well.. That new era GT40 is gonna be some serious cash...
