i have a '00 eclipse and was interested in buyin EVO 8

but i heard someone's puttin evo7 engine to eclipse 3g

i think 'unowned' is..

so i was wondering if evo8 engine would fit into my car

can anyone tell me?

well first off i think you mean 4g63 engine as as far as i know it can be doen with money lol. you might want to post on the 3gclub.com site about that or the dsmtunners.com.though like most will say going turbo ona non turbo car is better than an engine sawp if you want a fast car. also the 4g63 engine is like 160-180 with out the turbo on it. while the non turbo is like 140 so no big difference. only diference is the internal can take the extraload the turbo pushes in it. Like isaid you question will be fully answered if oyu go to those sites. Thoug back to your question it can be done take time i think the major problem is motor mount. on the 4g63 you have to like san them done to make it fit on the 00 mounts. like cut and stuff but that is the biggest pain other than that you should be fine. oh also something abouth the intake amnifold has to be installed differently im not sure abouu that one but i did read it on vfaq.com just go there it has the most comonquestion about eclipses evos galant with thevr-4 and hope d i helped some
