I saw this earlier. Pretty embarrassing for Volvo when they are trying to show off their new safety stop feature and it fails.

I was just confuse cause on the radio, Volvo was bragging about a system that stops the car if you get rear-ended, so your car doesn't lunge forward.

i think that system is just supposed to apply the brakes and slow down the vehicle before it hits.

you cant honestly expect it to stop in 18 ft do you?
what speed was the car travelling prior to the veiw of the camera and accident? if only it was in english.

but if it was a fail then lol@volvo

It shows 35kmh on the side of the car, so I presume that was the speed going into it.
