BMW has released a video, details, and photos on the 1-series by M division, looks like it'll be called the "1M".

probably M1, I have an e36 m roady and I love the power, sound, and also the fuel economy.

Not neccessarily. It's not going to make over 400HP and have a V8. It has a shorter wheel base and a few other thing that will turn M3 consumers away from it.

It'll be smaller than the (current) 3 series - Maybe this will be my 'fun' car in a couple years. It's funny to see it next to the E30 M3 - looks like even today's 1 series is bigger than yesterday's 3 series

Looks like it will be an exciting new car, guess it all depends on where they end up pricing it at to see how much of an impact it makes.

Sooo a year later, this car looks awesome and it's even prices pretty well. Anyone have any updates on it? If they're only bringing in a few hundred, that could get pretty annoying haha.

That's what i heard only a limited amount are coming and most of them are accounted for already
