Love Evo, but need something bigger

So, what do you buy when you love your Evo, but you need something with room for your 60lb dog, two kids under the age of three and a weekend's worth of clothes, kid stuff, etc? Needs to be manual trans. I can't cope with automatic. I also need something that has good passive and active safety.

What all have you thought about getting instead? I have a friend that had an 08 STi but he had a kid and got rid of it for a brand new Jeep Liberty but no manual transmission there.

Funny, there is a used car lot near me that has something like 4 of those SRT GCs. It sounds like they're always trying to take themselves apart though. (and no manual trans).

I thought about BMW 535xi wagon, 2009+ Forester, maybe Legacy Wagon (2.5 turbo, can have some fun with that.) There are manual cayennes out there, but the good ones are more than my budget - and I'm not a baller. I prefer something not too conspicuous.

V70R fulfills those requirements precisely.

Good suggestions! I was looking at the E39 m5, but really need a wagon-type hatch area for the dog. The S6 wagon is nice too, but only available in automatic, AFAIK. Did the V70R ever come as a manual trans? (My wife would chuckle, she already has a volvo.)

GMC Typhoon, right?

I'd keep the Evo and buy a '03-'05 WRX wagon for $10k. That was a fun car and I took it hunting all the time. Many a dead deer was piled up in the back.
