Trying to find a project car.

Okay so here is the deal I am trying to figure a car I should get to build up over the next four years or so and have fun racing/messing with. As of right now my evo is going to stay a nice fun daily driver to keep for a few years and possible be sold to my brother down the road. I don't have all the details or have the experience to performance tasks like building an engine from block up and tuning it. Do to this I don't want to take the chance of damaging my evo because I just love it so much. So as I stated before I am trying to figure out what a good car would be to use for a long term project and to be a race/semi show type car. As of right now I have looked at 240sx(s14) and Rx7FD. I was wondering if there are any other cars you guys could recommend for me to look at. My only real restriction would be for the car not to be front wheel drive.

Thank you so much in advanced.

Pick up a G35 or a 350z and do a Ls1/2/3/6/7 swap into it. Using Sikky motor mounts (Link below) and rock out! Going to do this eventually one day as well!

Are you looking to stick with a RWD platform?

I would like to stick with RWD platform because of being ably to slide around easier. When my friend had his 240sx I loved being in the car with him when he would toss the car around sliding around turns and such. But I still want to be ably to keep regular grip because that would be the main driving style.

Depends what you wanna do with the car sounds like you want a street car that can drift. I would personally do a 2jz s2000 for a street car or a toyota starlet with a 20b for a drag car.

I would not say that I was looking to build the car for drifting I would say I was trying to build something that is has the ability to kind of be an all around car. like be ably to do more track racing and then still be ably to get the rear end of the car out.
