if you're going to critique, at least be fair and post WHY you didn't like it and what you did if any.

I was tired it was a long day..

Car felt very numb...in the steering.

We all know the complaints about the seats interior etc...so wont beat a dead horse..I knew that going in.

The new LS3 and new TR6060 was what I wanted to try cause I have driven an 05 c6 and really didnt like it...

Same story with this vette...bone stock...14k miles etc..

Wound out 3rd nailed 4th and the clutch slipped wasnt happy with that...tranny feels sloppy and very hard to shift ( to me )

Car felt very heavy even though its not...long nose etc you cant see....I know they pull good gs on a skid pad but it just didnt feel that great..

Hows that?

Had it for a while was suprised the lady tossed me and my buddy the keys and was like have fun...we got revved at by an Eclipse to ..lol hilarious...

My buddy has a procharged c5 z06 drove that to thats another review...

I drove a 2006 model I believe. I agree in the steering/handling feel, it just feels like a boat to me. Which is odd because the car is relatively light....

You know how good cars seem to feel smaller than they really are when it comes to handling? The Vette was the opposite to me, it felt bigger than it actually is.

Never drove a regular C6 but I had heard good things about them. To each their own.
The Z06 was a great performance vehicle. You knew it had some size to it but that size never got in the way of great handling. The only bad parts out of the box were the crappy seats and the OEM Goodyear runflats.

Well some of your complaints (e.g. slipping clutch) are no reason to ditch a car....The C6 is a very fast and fun car to drive off the showroom floor and can easily/cheaply be made to go much faster. The z06 is really where the fun begins or a Callaway. I drove a Callaway with ~600hp and it was unreal - suspension, braking, and of course power....

My experience with Corvettes was they feel much larger and quite clumsy than they should for a 2 door. The steering reminded me of my old 93 Pontiac Bonneville. Motor sounded great and had good torque but seemed to come up short in the higher RPMs but no complaints with the transmission, not amazing not bad either. C5 Z06.

Steering is no where near what an evo is, no car is. As for the interior, really, bad? Compared to an evo? I personally love the interior of my car. It feels like a cockpit and the DIC is awesome. The seats aren't recaros but they are leaps and bounds more comfortable on a long trip. Power is everywhere and the car looks amazing.

Front end length took the most getting used to. But i never had guys shaking my hand and women begging for rides because i owned an evo

If you get a chance make sure you drive one with the z51 package. May be a more realistic comparison with the upgraded suspension and brakes.

ITT: Being 60.

Wouldnt mind a c6 Z06, not a fan of vettes at all though. They handle like fat logs for being a coupe sports car. Comfortable with lots of leg room. Maybe, like I said ^, when Im 60.

I have a friend with an LS3 C6, he's convinced its the fastest thing in the world. He thinks he beat my friends ZX6R, another friends 530whp Supra, and he thinks he would walk away from a 2010 GT500. Kid might as well be on acid.

Ask your friend where does he get his crack/meth from, whatever he is on it must be good!!
Back to the real world, tell your friend he is full of it, the LS3 vette is quick but there are many more quicker cars out there, how about just one of the cars in my signature(C63 AMG 12.3 @116 and a 3.9 sec tested) and is just a sedan but that was just an example.

The LS3 are very ast indeed but like I mentioned before there are now days many fast cars and the Shelby GT500 is one of them and now days just about any 600cc sportbike runs 10's at 130 so again what type of crack/meth is he on?

The 530 WHP Supras are very quick and fast, a LS3 stock puts about 380-385 whp so ... you see what I mean?

The seats are awefull, the stock tires are mediocre and the interior is also mediocre but the performance factor is one of the best on its class.

We can argue this all day long but there is no point. Just open any current M/T, C&D, R&T or automobile magazine and you will see nothing but the C6 being the top 10 best sports car over and over and over to the point were it beats its competitors.

I am not going to lie, the car has many aspects that need to be improved, I personally purchased a 08 C6 Z06 brand new in April of 2008 and had a lot of issues with the TR6060 which is the main reason why I sold/traded the car.

Botton line, performance speaks for itself and the C6 with the LS3 wins on just about every aspect against its competitors. my .2c

Carlos
