Reliability of Mitsubishi Cars
From what I hear
cars aren't that reilable, but thats just from hear say. I want to know from current
owners.
My sister-in-law had a 2001 Galant and she had a accident and the air bags didn't deploy. Did I mention it was with a brick building. Then my cousin just got the Endeavor. I want to trade in my Protege5 for the Ralliart. Any comments are welcome and appreciated.

Well I have had my 2001 Eclipse for 2.5 years now. So far so good. I had a problem w/the transmission about a year ago. But it was all fixed under warranty and has been fine since. I have 44k miles on the car so far.
I must say that in light of all the criticism that
comes under for **** poor service and cars. I have yet to have a real problem w/either. But this is just my opinion.

Being my car is just a couple hundred miles short of 40k miles, everything is still tip top, for an econobox. Clutch isn't quite as nice as it used to be but that's to be expected. Replaced brake pads at around 30k~ and tires at around 20. The stock Yoko's were absolute trash and I absolutley love the new Dunlops I have. Paint is still holding up, have the standard dings from rocks but you'll only notice that if you look hard enough. Interior is holding up nicely but the steering wheel isn't quite as grippy as it used to be...damn vinyl. Seats remain in good shape with the driver side obviously showing more wear and tear but there's no signs of fading or other types of damage. The motor is still going strong, a little bit ticky but hey, a high lift/duration cam (relative to the motor obviously) will do that to you, coupled with the fact the motors tick PERIOD. No strange oil leaks, no lines coming loose, no cracks in any important hoses or the like. Overall, the car is extremely solid if not a bit on the underdamped, undersprung, underpowered side. But hey, for 14k, you get what you pay for.
i have to agree about the yokohamas. my damn tires went through three flats before i decided to go with goodyear. and the goodyears are lasting looooooooooong. i have 50000 miles on my car, and its doing just fine.
I have an es, ya i know its not much but its holding great, tranny is auto but is still good. I bought it with 21k miles on it and now have 45k on it, thinking about trading in for ralli art, want evo, but heh, men in hell want icewater. Well as far as quality, as long as you take care of the car it works great. Ive kinda tried to run mine lol but its holding up great! As long as i keep fluids changed then i get awesome gas mileage, like ~30 MPG. Love it. Interior is grey/light grey and havent had a problem yet, seats are fine, still comfey as before. Steering wheel is good, but then again i have a cover on it. I have no mods done to my car and its doing great, still slow but i mean for a box it runs.........hopefully i still have some money on my money tree to trade in for Ralli art, but local dealer says they wont have any till bout feb. But on a light note they offered me and evo @ 28k lol I WISH I COULD!!!!
I own a 2000 Lancer (4G93 N/A SOHC). I t has just done 62 000km and I haven't had 1 problem with it. I had to put a new clutch in but that is was my fault for being a idiot. But I do look after my car very well and when I mean that, I mean that I change my oil every 5000km, take it in for a full service 5000km after that, check my oil every week etc. etc.
Cheers

my first car was a '91 mitsubishi mirage that was handed down from my sister. my family was the original owner and it lasted 180,000 miles on the odometer until i blew that motor. that was also an automatic and me doing burnouts and shifting the tranny like it was a stick but the gas mileage was incredible.
right now i'm on my third neon and people have a bad reputation about those cars but how many daily driven all motor 14 second cars do you see especially a neon?
it's really how you take care of the car not what brand for more of the situation.
