C6 Vette?

After having the Evo for about 8 month now,, Im kinda off this whole evo kick. With how ****ty Mits. is about aftermartket products, Im left with a car that wants more, but then would be up to me to fix anything else that would go wrong. That and the fact I get tired of things rather fast.

The new Vette looks SWEET!!!!!!!
400+ HP
Shorter overhangs/WIDER TRACK
3100lbs
6 speed paddle shifter
$40000 base price/ with roof

They have also said that since everyone *****ed soo much about a Chevyish interor, that we will all be in for a BIG suprise when we get a look at what they have took soo much time in develpoing.

This thing will be out in 30 days at the Detroit Auto Show.

Im just kinda sick of the BOY ricer thing with this evo, I think it is time for a true sports car, and not a "hey i got a boost thingy, and look at this bad exhaust, and o ya i smoked a........ last night,

I guess we will see.

Anyone else feel the same? And what else will you want when you TIRE OF YOUR EVO?

I love my evo, sold a NSX to get it. If you want something nice pick up a NSX the inside of that car is UNREAL, only prob is the stock Bose POS. I wish the C6 would be nice but I just don't think so. I drove a z06 and a c5 both were nice just not that fun. Raw power get the z06. Something to play with and get power cheap get a evo, want something that you can have for 6 years without a problem like I did, get a NSX

Yea, those spy shots were unreal!
I couldn't quite justify Z06 payments and insurance so I settled for the Evo. Frankly I love my Evo and plan on keeping it for along while. But the good news is...
My dad stated that he's going to buy a C6 sometime... So i'll have the best of both worlds!

The Evo is a really quick car with a completely different feel. Driving an auto corvette is as comfortable as driving a benz. Then with a 6-speed is a neck-snapper. And the motors in them are as mod friendly as they come.

Well the Vette is one of the cars I was considering. I was looking at an 03 Z06 or possibly even waiting for the C6. I have heard a lot of good things about it, but for me it comes down to do I want another 2 seater And the answer is No...thats why I have decided to go with the Evo. I think if you really want it I say go for it. Good luck

I owned a Vette.. It was my dream car.. and ended up being a huge disappointment once I owned it. I can honestly tell you, the car was fun, brutally fast, but if you think your not going to have the same problems that you might have with this car, your in for a huge surprise.

Now, I really can't bash the Vette all that much, I would get another one, but not as a primary driver. The Evo for me has been far more practical from that standpoint. Your right about the insurance, but if your over 25, have a clean driving record, it should actually be around the same as the Evo..

The Vette is a chick magnet.. its an image car, the Evo is a enthusiast car.. You'll get recognition from two different types of people. And you think the Evo is bad when it comes to getting challeneged by angry Ricers.. WAIT... hehehe...

I've owned 2 Vettes, a 99 convertible (auto) and an 02 Z06. For me the EVO is the better car. Some of it is a financial comfort level - I was always paranoid about driving a $50k car and it took away some of the enjoyment. Also the conventional driving position and good outward visibility are a plus for the EVO. The EVO is just as fast on real world curvy back roads. The Z06 power is thrilling and the EVO doesn't match up in that department. Maybe someday I'll get a used C5 convertible with a 6 speed. Convertibles have a totally different driving experience that is really nice even when you're not going fast.

The Vette is a Dream Car. My friends dad has a 96 and it's just amazing. I can't wait for the C6.

So are you saying that because you have done mods to your car Mits. void the warranty and you have to fix the car yourself if something goes wrong or because there are not many mods out there to add on to your vehicle?

Cheers

EEekkk insurance would kill me on that car.
Coupe, v8, 50k car...that's like 500 a month. For that price I'd rather pay that much a month for a evo.
