selling the evo.. :(
just get a civic if you dont want to pay a lot for maintenance. You will hate getting rid of the evo. My buddy has a 350z, its junk and costs more than my evo for all the problems it has...the maintenance might be cheaper but he needs stuff fixed all the time. The early year 350zs have ****ty transmissions too. S2000 is nice but slow and things are going to cost about the same to have done. Sports cars come with big prices no matter who makes it. you may as well keep one of the most reliable ones

if your replacing tranny's and clutches, then the issue is you, not the car.
I don't understand people that want to sell an Evo because they can't afford maintenance and plan to get another [insert random sports car]. The cost is going to be similar or worse in most cases and you are very likely going to lose money selling the Evo in the first place. Unless you are selling the Evo to get out of the sports car market all together and getting a 1993 Honda Civic or something, don't bother.

Any performance car will cost similar or have quirks as the other. If you are truly concerned with cost of upkeep get something cheap to maintain. Like a Civic, Accord, Camry........read....BORING.
Nothing wrong with that. I had to sell my hybrid civic years ago when financial situation dictated it. Hell my Evo is just NOW starting to get cloe to where I can start putting it together after blowing it up last year.

honestly, if you're tight on money and wanna set some money aside
get yourself an eco car...
get a sedan from honda, acura, or even toyota. Minimum maintenance, those cars dont push crazy hp #'s, so you'll have a lot less wear and tear, and in the future when things are better, get yourself another evo.

If money isn't a real issue, then dont bother getting another car. honestly the difference in price for maintenance such as ; rotors, pads, struts on a 350z or a s2k will pretty much be the same. You'll just end up regretting you sold something you've had and work on, AND another negative factor of getting another car is "you have no idea whats been done to it, and how it's been driven". You ALWAYS take a risk when buying another car.
hope this helps
GL with the decision.

just came from a Z... loved it. BUT, it was a very, very expensive car to maintain. and an FYI, expect to pay out the a$$ to extract only minimal amounts of power from it. it's just not ver mod friendly in terms of power gains. still though, with full bolt-ons and a good suspension setup, it was a blast to drive. nothing that the Evo can't give you though. and you can't drive a Z in the snow! stick with the Evo
im actually just gonna get a 2009 or 2010 ralliart and call it a day. i need a good DD for delivering pizzas. tired of shifting while delivering. and tired of the horrible tips i get when they see an evo! plus i miss my 9g
c5 vette's are great cars, 30 mpg on the highway. 6 speed. You can pick up an early c5 97-00 cheap. They cheap as hell to maintain as most gm parts are interchangeable. cheap to make fast. Insurance cheaper than evo. However in my opinion...vettes aren't as good looking as evos. but thats up to you. if you like the look it might be an option.
