4G63 in a Lotus Elise
4G63 in a Lotus Elise
If I had the cake I would love to put the 4G63 in a Lotus Elise and modifiy the engine to 400hp on pump maybe 500 w/ the racing gas and you are talking about a 9 to low 10 second car. Also put 17x9 on the car and that is it. You would have the fastest and best handling car for the money atleast.
And since it is so light, you can get the JDM EVO 6-speed transmission and make first gear go up to 60mph and so on. that would reduce the quater even further because of less shifting.
And talk about gas mileage, that little thing weighs like 1975 with gas. but with the heavier engine and rims maybe 2200, still ridiculously light.
So yea is it possible or I'm is this wishful thinking?
Let me know what you guys think.
Peace!

The EVO jdm 6-speed doesn't have taller first nor second gears either.
No Alex... I mean that since it is so light, I think you could change the gear ratios so that first gear hits 60mph because the engine doesn't need that much help you know. If you change it to a 400hp 4G63 you know.
the Ford GT and Mclaren F1 both do this because they have so much horsepower that it works. But w/ 400hp and 2000lbs it would be sick.
