I have been driving Mustang’s since I was 16 years old (am now 37). I currently have a 94 Cobra with several mod, puts down 320 RWHP. I have never had any real problems with my Mustangs, the Cobra is laid up right now because the clutch is gone. But I did get almost 60,000 miles out of the stock clutch with the car putting out over 150hp more that it came with from the dealership. I don’t own an EVO yet but I am planning on buying one in April 04. My brother purchased an EVO in May 2003 and I have been hooked ever since. I plan on keeping the Mustang for nice day only driving and using the EVO year round.

 

I traded my Zinc Yellow 03' Cobra in for my Evo. The car was a beast to say the least. It dynoed 390.2 whp - 375.8 trq. bone stock. I only had it for about 7 months and started having problems with it. I'd probably still have it if the delaer could ever fix the problems I was haivng. Oh well...my goal is to have my Evo as fast as my Cobra was stock. That would be plenty fast for me.

 

I had a 2001 Ford Lightning before my evo..... sometimes i acutally miss it :-(. The truck had TONS of money and performance mods done to it from a new blower to pistons etc.... and it dynoed at 574 rwhp 663lbs/ft tourque. It was a blast to drive and tool around in and it was very different than the evo.

Found out that the guy i sold it to wrecked it about 2 weeks after he bought it from me.... RACING IN THE RAIN !!! oh well, i am very happy with my evo because of the way it handles and hopefully i will be able to get it close to the straight line performance that my lightning had !!!

I had a 94 GT. Dont' miss it at all. Just a slow noise box with the edelbrock intake, 1.7 rockers. 3:55's, full exhaust with regular shorty headers, and k&n cone intake with high output coil and probably more stuff If I can't remember

Anyways, I upgraded my stereo on my evo so i can't say i miss the mach 460 nor any performance aspect on the stang. What I do miss was my hurst spring loaded shifter which i never missed any gears on!

I much perfer a quieter car now a days. And after i drove the M3 back then i realize I should retire from being a ship captain steering that boat of a car

i have a 2003 cobra and my evo.... the cobra can destroy the evo in a rolling race...and on the dragstrip (i ran 12.4 @116 with bolt on's.... stock tires...stock pully)....

I hand timed my cobra from 0-130 in 16 seconds (i did it about 5 times one day)... that was with no burnout and no great launch...

cobra is lowered with coilovers and had 18x10.5 rears in this pic
