Question US Peugeot Dealers

Ok... well up in Rome, Georgia I saw a closed down peugeot dealership. This was a year or so ago, but anyways I'm wondering if they're still in the US? I checked out the website and I can't find the USA on there country list so i'm guessing not. Any info would be apprieciated! Thanks!

Hyundai ballistic underachiever

Last weekend a Hyundai assosiate jumped off their 12 story building killing himself... It was the first time in history anything from Hyundai has gone from 0-60 in less that 5 seconds.
Assuming gravitational acceleration of 32 feet/sec^2 and 10 feet per floor he hit the sidewalk 2.73861 in seconds at a speed of 59.7516 miles per hour.

Even in death they can't get it right!

Peugeot stopped selling cars in the US years ago, I'm not sure on the exact date but I'm sure someone else here is.

12 stories @ 10 feet per story comes to 120 feet he fell. /div/ by 32 ft/sec. that means he took 3.75 seconds to fall, NOT 2.73 seconds.

second. assuming 32 ft/sec at 115,00 feet/hr he landed doing 21.818 mils per hour.

so your calcs are a little off.

His calcs are pretty much correct. It's 32 ft/sec^2, which is approximately equal to gravitational acceleration, not a steady velocity like 32 ft/sec would be. V^2=2a(dx), and V/a=t. Plug in to those equations and you get his exact answers.

Peugeot sold cars in the US from 1958 to 1991, and the last Peugeot was sold in 1992. http://revolutionmotors.com/frenchre...les/news2.html A number of European brands have withdrawn from the American market, most notably Peugeot, Fiat, and Opel.

i don't miss fiat one bit, and neither does my friend named Tony.

Peugeot isn't a bad brand. They were cleaning up during the '03 FIA series of WRC.

What I would like to see is Rennault start releasing American Spec models

Yeah, last Peugeot I saw in US was 504 or 505 and 405 MI16. I think they withdrew from US market because or quality problems. Every older french car had corosion issues
Nowadays I'd say they're doing pretty but some people in my country still say they suck (french cars in general). From the posts I see it seems they have numerous issues. My father owns a Citroen, it's like a car-minivan combo and haven't had any problems with it so go figure. And they definitely fixed the body which is now galvanized on all new cars.
Renault Clio V6 would be cool to see in US

The 206 is a fugly little car. The only way it looks good is in rally trim with the extended bumpers. I just saw one on Thursday at a local Kohl's parking lot and was scoping it out. It was up here from Mexico. It's the third 206 I've seen in Austin.

I saw a bunch in the UK too, they're everywhere there cuz they're small and cheap, and you can even get them with decent power. I think the top of the line one is called the GTi and it has 180hp or something like that. It's what the WRC car was homolgated from.

My first car was a 403. Odd items, like 4 on the tree, worm drive diff, light switch where the turn signal lever is on every other car. Three bolt wheels and a hole through the grill for a hand crank.
