Goodbye to my 08 GSR... Hello first born son and TSX

I have a baby coming in 3 months and just recently traded-in my evo for an Acura TSX...

I MISS MY EVO SO MUCH!!!!! I can't say this enough..

Everytime I pass by another evo or even just a lancer on the road I feel like I'm still driving the GSR... I feel happy for a split second till I realize I'm sitting in my TSX and then the depression hits...

My god do I miss the acceleration, the braking, the cornering... my TSX is so damn slow I can't even begin to compare the two cars. In my opinion, there isn't a single car in the price range that handles like the evo x and has the capacity to gain so much hp without breaking the bank.

Don't get me wrong, the TSX is a decently nice car and comfortable, but I'd much rather take my evo with all the strange noises, broken stereo, and interior rattling hands down. I never really realized how much I didn't care about creature comforts in the evo. I miss my old excessively loud and obnoxious single-exit greddy exhaust that shook the walls of my house in the morning on the way to work...

To all you current evo owners... CHERISH EVERY MOMENT WITH YOUR CARS!!!

I thought the evo was supposed to be the take-it-to-a-track-and-then-pick-up-the-kids kinda car...

Grats on the baby! Sorry for losing the Evo :'(

It really sucks. Sometimes I have to take my brothers Civic to work...wow...excruciating pain. It's so damn slow!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on the baby. It's going to completely change your life...in a good way!

Why did you replace the Evo? There are plenty of guys on here who happily carry their kids in their Evo. From newborn to middle school. The car is great for it. I carried my infant son in my Evo X and the baby seat fit easily.

But isn't the Evo is pretty rough ride, esp. for those who are on springs or coils? I don't know why but I feel like seating a newborn in the back of an Evo could be kind of hazardous? Like bouncing around on the road and hurting the baby in a way.

I might be weird...lol.

Sev - the bumpiness isn't hazardous at all. The Evo is perfectly fine as a baby hauler. In fact, the crash test ratings are outstanding.

Ah, I see. I just some weird imaginations which made me curious. But I don't plan on having a kid anytime soon, haha.

my evo has two car seats in it. one is a booster seat the other is a infant seat and there is a stroller in the trunk with a sub and pleanty of room for the diaper bag. if i ever went to the track and did not take my two boys they would be pissed.

Fixed! If I got a TSX, my kids would complain like crazy.

Good luck with parenthood, man. Being a dad is awesome!

Well that does suck pretty bad. I would hate to go Evo => TSX.

Congrats on the baby, though. I can almost guarantee that you will get another Evo eventually with the way that you miss it.. I would have kept it and seen how the Evo worked with the baby and got rid of it if need be. Now you will always blame your son for being the reason you got rid of the greatest car you ever owned! I kid, I kid..

Congrats on the baby! Not really sure why the car had to go though. I bought my Evo to be a family car for when our son was born. He's almost 2 now and gets upset if we drive mommy's Outlander instead of the Evo.
