mitsubishi eclipse gauge help

yeah i'll keep this short. we're trying to install an air/fuel gauge on our buddy's 97 eclipse gs-t. does anyone know where to tap into for the reading? we tried checking the wires directly coming out of the o2 sensor, but the best we got was lean flashing a bit. could he have a bad o2 sensor? any help is appreciated. thanks.

Tap it on the inside of the firewall near the ECU. Look on DSMTalk for pinouts. I wouldn't recommend posting without searching first.
