Ferrari FF in the wild!

I went with a few friends on a company boat around Newport yesterday, and as soon as we got back, I saw this bad boy outside of the office:

I didn't even know the Ferrari FFs were out yet, but it's likely this is among the very first ones. The owner was nice enough to actually stop the car since he probably saw me scrambling for my iPhone to snap a picture.

I just watched it on YouTube, it looks like they drove it on a snow/ice track against a Bentley Continental GT V-8. They didn't praise it much, but it's still interesting.

i'd understand if this was a one-off, but regular production?!? can this really be the best that ferrari can build to make money (assuming they dont make money on 458s) ?

The FF is essentially the replacement for the 612 Scaglietti, which was intended to be more of a grand tourer, with it being a four-seater for some amount of of practicality (for a Ferrari). So in some ways, a hatchback shape and AWD makes it more usable. It sounds dumb, but there are people who like the idea and have $300,000 to burn and can likely afford a Ferrari to be a DD, which they will justify with this theoretically being usable year-round.

i have nothing against awd, and nothing against a ferrari with 4 seats. in fact when i first saw a 456 with an infants seat installed in the back (mid 90s) i loved the look, and even dreamed of having one myself one day...
all that is fine and dandy, but this just looks like an AMC Eagle from the back, and a kit-car, with an evil clown's smile from the front
