got two questions for all those people who know about civics/integras.. you know.. the cars you see everywhere...

1.) Acura integra type R... w/ supercharger.. headers.. exhaust.. he doesnt know what boost he's at.. (he bought someone else's project) but how fast do you think this car can run on the 1/4???


2.) 19xx civic hatch DX.. has only a b18c1.. all motor.. claims to run 13's?? possible?? maybe ecu tranny clutch etc. is it possible??

can hondas and acuras really run that fast with out thousands spent into ish!!!??

 

i dont believe without thousands , my cousins boyfriend had a 96' GSR , probably still one of the most wanted draggers today , gutted out , 1 seat and roll cage... dropped in a new motor , turbo + nos , would put down 1g for anyrace ... said he had about 350 to the wheels , and a 15 shot of nos , said his best time ever was a very high 10 , normally ran low 11's , (he had to hide this car from his mom) lol , the point of this is , he said he spent over 30,000 dollar (not including the car) in mods for it over the years , although he'd make a lot of cash in one weekend , and that half the parts were stolen because he raced down in scummy places in new jersey . hope that helped

 

how can someone have an aftermarket SC on his car and NOT know what boost he's running? I call BS on that one.

the B18C1 was in the mid 90's GS-R's. I don't think it ever came stock in a Civic. Even with that motor dropped in, he'd still need a lot of work to get a Civic into the 13's. You could drop a 4G63 into a lancer, but that doesn't neccesarily means it'll break into the 14's.

 

no he dropped a b18c1 into his civic hatch dx.. and he sais he runs 13's...

and the guy with a type R really does have a supercharger but he really doesnt know what boost he's at.. or he won't tell me... (i'm guessing he doesn't know..) but anywayz.. boutt of them claim to run 13's..

but there's going to be some races soon and i intend to watch.. the type R is going to go against a stock eclipse gsx.. and then he's going to go race a 240 with an sr20det.. so that'll be kool to watch

 

The civic....yes....2 of them in my area....both in the 13...one hit a 12.8.

Integ....not sure....probably the same...low 13's
