Subaru BRZ - Streets of Willow Springs
Two days ago, after a longish working stint, I got up at ~4:30AM. I was in the car at as the sun was just coming up. It was raining. Buckets. I was literally giggling as I said to myself, "It's sunrise, it's poring, and I'm in an Evo IX on fresh rain tires." Did almost 70 miles just for the hell of it in less than an hour. At that moment there was no better driving machine in the entire universe. Folks can sit here and argue about numbers all day long and to what end? It's not the numbers that make the memories.

True, but numbers are objective, what you're describing is subjective. There's no quantifying what someone personally likes to drive and arguing it or debating it is a complete waste of time. Critically, this thread deals with a comparison of lap times, not which car feels better. I have more fun in my Miata than my other car but around a track, my other car would decimate my Miata. The most fun I had as a passenger was in an Elise, not a Porsche, GTR, STI or Evo, all of which were substantially faster. This is why I have said time and time again that at some point, it all boils down to personal preference. Once the facts are straight, the rest is up to each person to decide for themselves.
You're trying to argue a point whose sole unifying factor rests on its propinquity, and now you want to argue about arguing about it, while missing the idea behind automotive enthusiasm in its entirety. You'll have to excuse me while I go and set what's left of my hair on fire.

My ears are a burnin'!
I consider Other Cars to be off topic enough that you guys can talk about whatever you want to regarding them. The thin skinned newbies from the tech sections that have been on the site for less than a month aren't in here much. If they are, they better put on a coat.
Have fun guys.
I saw one in person the other day. Really unusual product for Subaru but it looked great.
Now from the published specs/ stats I've read so far it seems to be a good car, but I tend to take all of that with a grain of salt because in the end it's really all about moving a product IMO.
