Someone Tell me about Dodge Stealth
Ok is there anyone here who knows what they are talking about when i ask about Dodge Stealth's..
I am looking at a 1995 Black Dodge Stealth 5-speed 45k miles, Body in Perf condition and Very Very good running condition. i know nothing about the models im guessing from what i have seen there is a 164hp ES or LS or something and a R/T w/ 222hp and a R/T Turbo w/ 300 can someone give me a little info on all? cause i think the one im looking at is the 164hp edition... 3.0L V6... Slow? decently fast? info info please.!
Thanks,
Jason

it's slow and heavy, the 3000gt/stealth was based on the galant of its time and not really a sports car... an Eclipse GSX/GS-T is way better than a stealth.. plus you'd have a better aftermarket to deal with if you wanted to mod.
nsnguyen Not sure where yuou get off saying slow etc.
I owned a 92' Stealth TT. The ES and such are like the 3000GT SL yes. and they are ok for speed. Not very fast. The TT model is 300 hp and in the '92 version I ran a 14.1 in Mass which the elevation isn't the best. Cozy cars, if you only want one other passenger definetly roomy....I believe in 95 though they lsot the climate control but gained a sunroof/lost flip up lights....But the Stealth was a definetly nice car, and pulled like a mother. I hit 155 with ease, no stopping just ran out of room.
Half the parts on the car said Mitsubishi on it anyway....

i dunno about exact stock times but i do know my brother has a red stealth non-turbo and that thing is tight as hell. looks amazing and it pulls for non-turbo. i love that car, good luck finding one in perfect condition, my brother drives his like once a year and its the only one ive seen in that good of condition, he says he'll take it to the track this summer with me but im sure you'll find the real times b4 then.

www.edmunds.com for all the specs you'll need, real market value, and possibly some reviews.
my best friend had the base stealth (es), and i loved it. though it was heavy, it handled very well and was fairly quick too. depending on the price and condition, i say go for it. that car has a classic look that never gets old.

Unless its the RT TT AWD model I'd stay away from it, espically one almost 10 years old.
Yes... they have nice interiors, but other than that heavy and slow. My old roomate had a non-turbo RT and it was like a pig in the mudd. My other buddy had a Mitsu. 3000GT TT that was fast as hell, but still had sloppy handling even with AWD. The whole platform of the 3000GT or Stealth was just to big and heavy to be a real contender.
I guess it depends on what your looking for though.

I wouldn't buy a non-turbo version though. And there are easier cars to modify. The 164-hp model was only available as a Stealth (lowest 3000GT had 222hp) - the motor SUCKS. You'll get beat by non-turbo Eclipses. If you want a "sports car", buy an Eclipse or Talon. Much easier to modify, maintain and cheaper on insurance.
I'm gonna have to say stay away from twin turbos older than 6 or 7 years old, you will run into tons of problems, so if it's going to be an older model, go for the N/A and save some headaches.
