If he didn't like the FRS, I see the BRZ being slightly less. It is rumored the BRZ's suspension is softer.
The BRZ is about $1000 more, but you get navigation and HID's for the higher price.

I imagine some quick mods and it will be a fun car. Good quality suspension, light wheels, sticky tires, good brake upgrade and some forced induction. Nothing we don't consider basic mods on an evo. I think it's a good looking car, but I still see it as a little kids car for now.
