Question need advice on family car.....

I'm expecting my first child soon so I'm looking at getting a four door. I'm 32 and looking for a nice size four door car and is fun to drive when the I'm alone. I bought my wife a 2007 Toyota Avalon. It is a great car but too soft of a ride for me but plenty of room and power. I have never owned an Evo. I have owned several 2G turbo Eclipse but the ride sucked and my exhaust was too loud for a child but so much fun to drive. I'm looking for a used car around 15,000. It has to have a manual transmission. I have driven many Infiniti's for 10 years now. The maintenance is cheap and they lasted for ever. First one over 300,000, second one 275,000 and then got hit but had plenty of live left and now I have a 2002 G20 sport with
170,000. it runs great but it's time for a new car. I'm open up to any and all feedback.
Thank you...

Sell your Raptor and use that to pick up a lightly used CTS-V wagon!

G35 Sport (manual versions do exist but they're rare), E39 540i, Mazdaspeed6, Mazdaspeed3, older WRX hatch (should be able to find a clean one for $15k).

Not suggesting an Evo because the kind of Evos you can get for $15k aren't going to be in the greatest condition.

I sold the raptor already, and some guy bought it and wrecked it. He broke his legs, an arm and some other stuff. I told him it was fast but he said he had 450's before so he knows what to do. It took me a year to build that quad from the ground up. Poor quad....

I do like the BMW. I went to a ride and drive for continental tires down in Texas for work a few years ago. They had 328i, mustang, dodge trucks and i love the way the BMW felt but the 3 series seems to have a small interior. I never drove a 5 series.

I would love the Caddy but they are way out of my price range. I do like the 530I but they are all 20k and up. and not sure how much to the cost to own a BMW with maintenance. I never thought of a wrx either. I might have to look into. Most around here and driven hard and sold for a lot $$$

I am a toyota tech and LOVE the brand. Honestly the rav4 is fabulous, the highlander is nice and roomy but you're right about the avalon. Personally. Im a corolla fan, from the ae86 and up to now the new style theyre fantastic. I recommend Toyota all the way.

Yeah, only reason WRX made my list is because you can get a hatch version. It's a PITA to find one for that price that isn't modded and abused, though. Best you can hope for is one with light mods and thoroughly maintained from a state without real winters.

This completely misses the fun to drive part; Toyota doesn't make anything that fits his requirements. Closest thing would be a Lexus IS-F but they're still running $40k used.

my wife loves Toyota. Here last car was a 92 Camary v-6 and lasted almost 230k. She loves the way they drive. The Avalon is a great built car. but way to soft for me. I couldnt lets say take it to an local autocross event. there is something that I might do.idk.maybe not. I never tried.

A G8 GXP would be a great car, as well, but they're also selling for $30k.

Toyota (brand not parent company) = beige for boring people.

You want fun, manual, sport car feel...Caddy, BMW, WRX, Lexus

Yep. Just like anything Toyota. And that is a prototype, not production. They're attempting to go after -V, M_, and AMG sales...good luck with that.

Your reading misleads you.

Tell me, Toyota Tech, what input do you have into anything within the Toyota brand?
